We may also draw inferences from this information, such as product interests or shopping preferences, where permitted by applicable law.

Email Signups and Promotional Offers

When you subscribe through our newsletter or first-order discount signup form, we collect your email address and subscription information to send the applicable offer and promotional emails.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our promotional emails. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent us from sending necessary communications about your orders, account or customer support requests.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our Services use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website activity and support advertising and analytics.

These technologies may collect device information, usage information and information about your interactions with our Services.

Where required by applicable law, we request consent before using certain technologies. Depending on your location, you may also have access to a cookie banner or other privacy controls.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect how the website functions.

For choices relating to targeted advertising and certain data sharing, visit Your Privacy Choices.

SMS Marketing and Mobile Information

When you sign up for text messages from Knockouts Optics, we collect your mobile phone number, your SMS consent and subscription preferences, and information about your interactions with our messages. We use this information to manage your subscription and send the marketing texts you have agreed to receive, including offers and product updates, through Klaviyo.

SMS signup is optional. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can unsubscribe by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP or email sales@knockoutsoptics.com.

We do not sell or share mobile information, including phone numbers collected for SMS marketing and SMS opt-in data or consent, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose this information to service providers, including Klaviyo and telecommunications providers, only as needed to operate and deliver our text messaging service. These restrictions apply notwithstanding any other sharing provisions in this Privacy Policy.

How We Share Personal Information

We may disclose personal information:

  • To service providers, including Shopify and providers of payment processing, email marketing, analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfillment and shipping. For example, we use Klaviyo to support our email marketing.

  • To advertising and marketing partners, including Meta, Google and Shopify, to measure campaigns and provide relevant advertising, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices. These partners may process information under their own privacy policies.

  • At your direction or with your consent, including when arranging delivery or using third-party features or integrations.

  • Within our corporate group, where applicable and necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

  • For legal reasons, including to comply with valid legal requests, enforce our terms, prevent fraud or protect our rights and the rights of others.

  • In a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of all or part of our business.

Some advertising-related disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing” or processing for “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged for the information.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of these activities through Your Privacy Choices.

Our Relationship with Shopify

Shopify hosts our Services and collects and processes personal information to provide and improve them. Information you submit through our Services is transmitted to Shopify and may be shared with service providers located outside your country.

We also use certain enhanced Shopify features that help protect, grow and improve our business. These features may use information about your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify.

For these enhanced features, Shopify may process personal information collected across those interactions. Shopify is responsible for that processing, including responding to requests concerning personal information it processes for those purposes.

To learn more, read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you may exercise certain rights through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Third-Party Websites and Links

Our Services may contain links to websites or platforms operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security or content of websites we do not control. Please review their policies before providing personal information.

Information you post publicly, including reviews or social media comments, may be visible to others. Linking to a third-party website does not, by itself, mean that we endorse it.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us to request deletion.

As of the date of this policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share, as those terms are defined by applicable law, personal information belonging to individuals under 16.

Security and Retention

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please avoid sending sensitive payment details or other confidential information through unsecured channels.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our Services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the information and the reason it was collected.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you and information about how it is used or disclosed.

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information.

  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.

  • Receive a portable copy of certain personal information.

  • Withdraw consent to certain processing, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or processing for targeted advertising.

  • Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request, where applicable.

These rights may apply only in certain circumstances and are subject to applicable legal exceptions.

To make a request, email sales@knockoutsoptics.com. You can also exercise advertising-related opt-out rights through Your Privacy Choices.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. Where permitted by law, you may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of that authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

For information processed by Shopify for its own purposes, visit the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Global Privacy Control

Depending on your location and applicable law, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or processing for targeted advertising for the browser and device sending the signal.

If Shopify can associate the device sending the signal with a Shopify account, the opt-out request will also be applied to that account.

Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.

Other than Global Privacy Control, we do not recognize other browser “Do Not Track” signals.

Communication Preferences

You can stop receiving promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

We may continue to send non-promotional messages, such as order confirmations, shipping updates, account notifications and responses to customer support requests.

International Transfers

We may transfer, store and process personal information outside your province, state or country, including in Canada, the United States and other countries where Shopify and our service providers operate.

Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those where you live. Information may also be accessible to courts, law enforcement or other authorities under applicable laws.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. For transfers from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these may include recognized contractual safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers to countries recognized as providing an adequate level of protection.

Complaints

If you have a concern about our privacy practices or our response to a privacy request, please email sales@knockoutsoptics.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision or submit a complaint to the relevant privacy or data protection authority.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices, Services or legal requirements.

We will publish the updated version on this website, revise the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
